September 21 Coupons/The Coupon Clippers

Honestly, I'm not that excited about the coupons this week. There's a lot for cleaning supplies and air fresheners. I'm afraid that the only good ones won't be on my local paper anyway, because my region kinda stinks!

So I have placed my very first order with The Coupon Clippers! They are a coupon clipping service. Here's what my order looks like: (The ones in purple are new this week.)

Subtotal: $5.10
Shipping cost (USPS): $0.59
Admin Fee: $0.50
Total: $6.19

$6.19 sounds like a lot, I know. But here's the lowdown: all of these will double and my local store, Brookshire's, will even triple them right now. I have a potential savings of $88.50! And because I handpicked the coupons, I know they are for things that I want/need/will definitely use.

Keep a few things in mind when using this kind service:

  • Make sure you have plenty of time before the expiration date for shipping and use of the coupon.
  • Read the description very carefully to make sure if you'll have to buy more than one item or if it says "DND" (means Do Not Double).
  • You have to order $3 minimum subtotal.
  • Most coupons require a minimum quantity of 5.
  • You will pay a 50 cent "Admin Fee" on each order regardless of the order size. So make the most of each order.
  • Make sure it is a "Manufacturer's Coupon" or at least a store you have locally. They do sell some store coupons, and they are mixed right in with all the others.
  • The Coupon Clipper accept Visa/MC and paypal.

As I said, this is my first order. I will be reporting back with my results! Hold your breath!

In the meantime, you can check out the full preview for this week's coupons here or here. There are two inserts: 1 SmartSource and 1 Valassis.
