If you live in central Mississippi and you've never been to the Celebrate America Balloon Glow, you have been missing out!
The event takes place on Friday, July 3rd, behind Northpark Mall in Ridgeland, between the movie theater and Pear Orchard Road.
Festivities begin at 6 PM. There's an opening band, The Carltons South Carolina Show Band. The beautiful hot air balloons land on the grass right in front of you and the glow is scheduled for 7:45 PM. After that, Diamond Rio takes the stage, scheduled at 8:15 PM. The fireworks will be shot off once Diamond Rio is finished performing and it is dark.
There are always food & drinks for sale, but you are more than welcome to bring your own. Bring chairs and blankets to sit on. If you manage to get a close enought parking spot, it's fun to sit in the back of a truck (I am not a country bumpkin!).

Do you think if I packed them all up now I could get there within the next 20 hours? Nah, me neither. We'd take at least a week with all our stops LOL:)
