Hello, PREMIER!

If you're visiting my blog for the first time from the short presentation I gave tonight--WELCOME! I had so much more I would've liked to have told you, so I'm glad you're here!

To learn more about couponing, start with the tutorials on the right hand side of the page or click here first for a basic overview. Then you can read about shopping at each store by clicking on the links to the right.

Remember, you can still be a frugal shopper without clipping every coupon in sight like I do. Use your new price list to make yourself more aware of item costs. Watch for sales and stock up.

The question was asked tonight,"Don't you spend more money stocking up?" I'm really glad someone asked that, because it can seem overwhelming at first. I threw myself full-on into heavy coupon shopping and I spent more in the first month than I realized. You can start slow. Use $10 a week to "stockpile". Also, if you learn how to shop at CVS and Walgreens effectively, you can spend very little. This may mean multiple transactions to spend the lowest out-of-pocket.

After you've done some reading, you may be thoroughly confused. Take a deep breath and start small. Here are some basic scenarios to get you started:

CVS (You must use an ExtraCare card):

Print at least 3 of the Kellogg's Special K or Frosted Flakes coupons HERE
Buy 3 boxes included in the 3 for $10 sale on the front page of the ad.
Pay $7 plus tax.
You will get back $5 Extrabucks to use toward another purchase.

Walgreens:

Print this $1 coupon.
Buy Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste for $4.49-$1 coupon
Pay $3.49 plus tax.
You will get back a Register Reward for $4.50 to use toward another purchase.

Please feel free to e-mail me or leave comments on here! I love to help others!

I am thinking about teaching a full class, so if you're interested, please let me know.
