Readers, Meet Calzone

I like to share some of my meals and recipes to show you how you can prepare delicious family friendly meals at low costs. Using coupons and shopping sales allows me to stock up. Then I use that stockpile to plan my meals.
Today, I'd like you to meet "Calzone". He's beefy and sturdy with a warm gooey center.
Here are the ingredients:

Meatballs: .40
Pasta sauce: .67
Refrigerated Pizza Crust: FREE
Shredded Cheese: about .63 (I used about half a bag)
Olive Oil, Garlic Salt, Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

Total Meal Cost: $1.70

1. Roll out your pizza crust and cut in half to make two calzones.

2. Spread out pasta sauce, top with meatballs (I quartered mine), and shredded cheese.

3. Roll the calzone working to keep the filling inside--that was a little tricky! Pinch and press the ends really well.

4. Brush or drizzle some olive oil on the outside. Sprinkle with garlic salt and red pepper flakes. Cut slits in the top to keep your dough from bubbling up. (P.S. I know it looks a little sad raw, but it perks up in the oven!) Bake at 350* for about 17 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

I dipped mine in Ranch dressing--which was FREE of course! YUMMY!
